In response to the Los Angeles fires and ongoing housing challenges, Gather & Grow OC is offering sliding-scale ESA documentation services ($0-150) to help community members keep their animal companions during displacement. Our ESA letters, provided by licensed mental health professionals, verify the therapeutic benefits of emotional support animals and protect housing rights. Contact hello@gatherandgrowoc.com with "ESA Letter Request" to begin the process.
We're thrilled to announce our new free online course "Gates & Gatekeepers" - a heartfelt initiative to transform how mental health professionals support our transgender and gender-expansive community members. Through engaging video lectures, practical templates, and collaborative exercises, we'll explore ways to move beyond traditional gatekeeping towards becoming caring advocates in gender-affirming care. Join us in building a more compassionate, accessible pathway to care for our trans community.
Gather & Grow OC provides accessible, affirming assessment and letter-writing services for gender-affirming care. With sliding-scale fees and a collaborative approach, we're here to support your healthcare journey with dignity and respect.
In honor of Black History Month, we highlight essential mental health resources and support systems specifically designed for the Black community. We acknowledge the historical context of systemic inequities and the ongoing need for culturally responsive care. By sharing these vital resources and fostering open dialogue about mental health, we aim to create a more accessible, understanding, and supportive environment where seeking help is normalized and healing can flourish.
While wildfires cause immediate destruction, their impact continues long after the flames are extinguished. Survivors often face ongoing physical challenges like respiratory issues, mental health concerns including PTSD and anxiety, and social-economic difficulties such as displacement and community disruption. With proper support and professional help through available resources, recovery is possible - though it may take time and patience.
