May marks an important time for two significant observances: Mental Health Awareness Month and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.
We want to take this opportunity to remind everyone about the importance of mental health. We urge you to take care of yourself and those around you, and remember it's okay to seek help when needed.
It has been more than a year since we’ve been able to share breath without fear.
I can’t help but shudder at how this has affected our collective bodies, particularly during this time when there has been such a profound need to simultaneously down-regulate into shared grief and co-regulate into movement.
As we move into AAPI heritage month, it is so important to acknowledge and reflect on collective cultural history within these communities. Informing ourselves of the past allows us to set a path forward and to shine a light on where our efforts can be planned, implemented, and sustained as we continue supporting and advocating.
