Steps of Self-Acceptance
How many of you are hard on yourself, judge yourself for not being where you want to be, or for saying something that is out of character, and then judge yourself for it? Self-acceptance is essential when it comes to your walk of life, your path. Loving and accepting your journey even in the shadows is important. It's the spaces in between that create who you are! We are, in fact, human, learning every day, experiencing life, feelings, emotions, and triggers. You are not expected to go through life conquering every obstacle without feelings or emotions and reacting to those. We learn from each moment and becoming aware is what creates the lessons of learning. Accept yourself even if you go to a space you knew didn’t serve you, or you gave into an old pattern, or said something unkind or not like you.
Steps of Self Acceptance:
Ask yourself what is creating this reaction, this feeling, etc.? Accept it and surrender its power.
Put your hands on your heart, pay attention to your breath as you breathe in slowly, and breathe out slowly. Say to yourself, “I love and accept myself right here and now,” “I allow myself to feel without judgment,” “I release all self-judgment,” “I accept my path with ease,” and “I trust in my lessons.” Repeat these affirmations as needed as you notice self-judgment creep up.
Allow yourself to accept it and surrender, give space for your feelings, and remember you are beautiful in every moment.
Love yourself in the unknown, love yourself in the transitional spaces where it feels messy and rocky, love yourself in the in-between spaces. Trust you are in the exact space you are meant to be in. From this space will come growth, self-love, and appreciation in every moment. Surrender to the now and love yourself in every moment. You got this, I believe in you! You are all doing the best you can with the tools you have been given, trust in yourself and where you are.
